About me

Dani Green is a Macarthur-based potter known for her vibrant, hand-built forms that merge creativity with craftsmanship. Working from her Cobbitty home studio and within the Macarthur community, she collaborates with schools, TAFE, markets, and commissions, sharing her passion for clay as both an artistic and expressive medium.

She discovered clay nearly 20 years ago, first as an escape from the day-to-day, and soon it became as essential to her as breathing—a way of life. Her work explores the interplay between ceramics and mixed media, blending textures, materials, and glaze techniques to create dynamic, one-of-a-kind pieces. Dani finds inspiration in nature, everyday interactions, and the personal narratives we bring to objects, resulting in work that is both functional and deeply expressive.

Beyond her own practice, Dani facilitates pottery workshops at Campbelltown Arts Centre and in Camden, where she encourages others to discover the joy of working with clay. She believes in the transformative power of creativity, offering workshops and collaborative projects that foster self-expression, experimentation, and connection. She creates colourful and distinct work that brings happiness into the world, making art an uplifting and accessible experience for all.

When she’s not covered in glaze and up to her elbows in clay in her home studio in Cobbitty, Dani can be found running workshops, engaging with the community, and sharing her love of ceramics with others.

Dani’s pottery can be found online, at local markets, in galleries across Australia, and through commissioned works. Her commitment to fostering creativity extends beyond the studio, creating opportunities for individuals of all ages to explore and enjoy the tactile, meditative nature of clay.
